Psychic intuition... Strange to some, but natural to Sianne

Unusual talent leads to feng shui interest

Strange to some people - completely natural to Sianne Jones.

Since she was a little girl Sianne could see energy fields in homes, and knew intuitively what people were thinking, or what lay ahead for them. Not bad things, not nasty thoughts, but things that could help them make the right choice, things that would reassure them.

Clairvoyant and feng shui consultant Sianne Jones, of Gulf Harbour, with 'Lucky' the cat, named because she survived a very close encounter with a car.

Sianne can help people make good choices, or remove excessive 'energy' from homes as a feng shui consultant. But for her own future choices she knew she wanted to live at Gulf Harbour - a move she and her husband have just completed after living in many countries around the world, and living for some time in Auckland.

Sianne was not aware of her 'gift' until her early 20s, because she always thought other people could see what she could see. It wasn't until she became interested in feng shui that she understood how much it fitted with her extraordinary gift.

Feng Shui is about balance and harmony, and particularly about energy, which is Sianne's speciality.

People moving into a home can often experience a build-up of negative energy caused by underground water, overhead powerlines, or a bad experience that has happened in that house. She also uses her 'energy' skills to divine water, to heal, and she is learning the 'Bowen' method of healing.

About 10 years ago Sianne went to her first clairvoyant meeting. A friend invited her along, and she watched with interest as the clairvoyant told snippets about people in the audience. She knew those snippets too. The clairvoyant then pointed to her and said - you are a clairvoyant, you should be up here. Sianne has not done a group meeting like that - she is still learning and understanding about her skill, but she is looking forward to the moment when she will host group meetings. She will do 'readings' for people, using cards, or holding jewellery belonging to the person.

Although she has worked for 20 years as a designer draughtswoman, Sianne is undergoing a career change to make greater use of her gift. She has set up a business, Feng Shui By Design Ltd. People can visit her, or talk to her by phone, for whatever reason. One woman was most upset that her pet turtle had disappeared. Sianne told her not to look for it - it would return. A few days later the turtle returned; her owner was amazed. On another occasion Sianne went to a party and felt the presence of a woman in the room who was very distressed. She did not approach the woman - people must approach her first, she says.

Several of her clients seek guidance when making business decisions, and Sianne believes that in about 10 years' time it will be very common practice for people needing financial advice to also seek comment from a clairvoyant.

Just how accurate is she...

BY CAROLYN HOWDEN

Rodney Times reporter Carolyn Howden offered to let Sianne try her talents on her. Here is what she found...

"She held my ring and commented I was a very busy person (true), and that I had two daughters, with brown hair down to here... she indicated a hair length that was accurate for both my daughters. How did she know that?Three cards were randomly selected from a pile of many packs of cards. All three were accurate.

Divining RodsSianne held copper divining rods that became very active when simple questions were asked - she could not possibly have known the answer, but they were accurate.

It is unnerving when you believe someone is 'reading your thoughts' - but Sianne laughs."No, you can shut me out," she says.

When someone holds your jewellery and is so accurate, do you really want to know any more? This wasn't a scheduled, formal reading. It was a quick session of 'prove it'. I was so 'rattled' and also running late for another appointment, that I galloped out the door and tried to get into Sianne's car parked outside. Mine was further down the road.
